A Tribute to
Jerry S. Allison, Our
Leader and Founder
Jerry & Mickey on November 1, 2005 after Hurricane Wilma On Friday January 16th, our leader and founder, Jerry Allison passed away unexpectedly from natural causes. From his young days as a supermarket owner/operator in Chester, West Virginia, to training thoroughbred horses in both West Virginia and Maryland, and finally to developing one of best architectural and antique salvage businesses in the United States in West Palm Beach Florida, Jerry always had an infectious smile on his face and never looked back. Even during the last four years when Hurricane Wilma totally destroyed Allison’s Architectural and Antique Salvage on Georgia Ave. in West Palm Beach and he was able to merge Allison’s with Adam and Eve on 16th Street on the other side of town, he felt he was blessed, never lost that smile, and never looked back. Jerry
truly left a treasure to We
continue
to take Jerry’s lead and are making Allison’s as consumer-friendly as
possible.
From the physical pricing of all major items, to the remodel of our
spectacular
sconce room, the inprocess update to our website, and the creation of
our web
store and newsletter
later this spring, Allison’s
is quickly becoming more consumer-friendly to all our valued customers. To
those of
you who haven’t physically visited Allison’s, we welcome you to stop by
and see
what Jerry created. As
most of our first
time visitors say, it will be “an overwhelming experience”; to those
of you
who stop by on regular basis, you will be happy with all our
improvements and
fresh selection of inventory.
Paul
and I,
and all our regular customers, will always miss Jerry. Paul
and I
firmly
hold the torch he passed to us, and definitely won’t let him down. Come
visit Paul and me at
Allison’s for that
“overwhelming experience”. Jerry’s
presence will always be felt!!
